Its always a treat when Stephen A. Smith shows up in Port Charles, and the ESPN commentator-turned-actor’s latest General Hospital scenes have Brick going viral.

The Best of Brick

After nearly a decade on GH, Smith is celebrating his first soap scene gone viral. The April 28 episode saw Brick come to Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) rescue after his open heart surgery. When a mysterious nurse was found in Sonny’s room, Brick barged in, pulled out his gun, and shot her dead like something out of The Matrix.

The scene went viral on X (formerly Twitter), gaining over 14,000 views after being shared by a GH fan.

“I know @stephenasmith aka Brick was excited to film this scene!” the fan captioned the clip, which also received 180 likes.

After reacting to the scene on his morning show First Take, Smith shared his thoughts on his vitals moment with People. “I try not to watch myself most of the time, believe it or not. But certain scenes, for example, me getting an opportunity to murder somebody like I did on General Hospital, that was funny to me,” he admitted. “The pulling out the gun and all of that stuff, and doing it and them putting it in slow motion and stuff like that. It was hilarious. So sitting back and watching it was a lot of fun.”

Smith recently made headlines for another reason: his potential 2028 presidential bid. On that, Smith revealed, “At least show the respect to the people who believe in you, who respect you, who believe that you can make a difference in this country, to leave the door open for any possibilities some to three years down the line.” (Learn more about what made Smith consider running for president).
