This brotherly reunion has been a long time coming on the September 16, 2024 episode of General Hospital.
The Reunion
When Sonny (Maurice Benard, who told a hilarious story about mixing up two GH co-stars) arrived at the gallery to taunt Ava (Maura West) about no longer having a lawyer with Scott (Kin Shriner) MIA, he got a shock when Ava’s representation walked in and revealed himself to be his brother, Ric (Rick Hearst).
Ric taunted Sonny over Kristina’s (Kate Mansi) troubles and how they could affect the outcome of the custody case. Sonny fought back by scorning his brother for turning Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) in and not being in Molly’s (Kristen Vaganos) life.
Brotherly Unlove
As the brothers argued over their failed parenting, with Sonny reminding Ric he’s been an absent father and Ric accusing Sonny of coddling Kristina, Sonny finally realized what this was all really about.
Sonny noted that one brother had it good while the other didn’t. “You’re still whining about our mother giving you up and keeping me,” he said before assuring Ric he had the worse childhood.

He left the gallery with a warning for Ava that Ric wasn’t the best choice of lawyer before heading to the PCPD to bail out Alexis. When he was confronted by Molly, she let him know that her mom was burying herself to protect “his daughter.”
