Port Charles may be in for a new mob boss after Sonny and Jason’s big decision on the May 12, 2025 episode of General Hospital.
Wanting Out
Half of Port Charles is currently working together to oust Sonny (Maurice Benard) as the town’s number one mobster. Sidwell (Carlo Rota) is hoping to take the reigns, and is being backed by Drew (Cameron Mathison), Tracy (Jane Elliot), and Jordan (Tanisha Harper). All Sonny has to do is sell his piers over to Sidwell, and he and Jason can officially retire.

When Sonny presented this idea to his righthand man, Jason immediately had second thoughts, wondering if putting Sidwell in charge of Port Charles was a smart move. As risky as it is, it may be the only way for Sonny and Jason to get out of the business and keep their families safe.

Before an official decision could be made, they both agreed that they needed to be certain Sidwell was not behind the penthouse bombing or the LA assassination attempt. While Jason agreed to do some digging, Sonny met with Laura (Genie Francis) to update her on his potential plans that would benefit them both.
Side Project
As if Jason’s plate wasn’t full enough, he later was asked to meet with Tracy at the Metro Court. She had just convinced Lulu (Alexa Havins) to back off her adoption article for Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) sake, but there’s nothing stopping her from doing a little meddling. “I need you to find my great-grandson,” she told Jason. Sounds more like a job for Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), if you ask us.
