It’s cake and candle time for a bunch of daytime soap stars who are celebrating their birthdays in September. Soap Hub has compiled all the dates, so you can send the actors and actresses you love your best wishes via Twitter and Instagram. Or you could go the old-fashioned route and mail them an actual card.
If you are a Virgo (August 22 – September 22), here are some of your traits. Virgo is the sixth sign of the zodiac and is an earth sign symbolized by the virgin or the maiden of the harvest. As summer turns to fall, we enter the Virgo season. The ruling planet Mercury oversees communication, transportation, curiosity, and research. Virgo is known for their analytical thought, their detail-orientated skills, their service to others, and their sensitive heart. A mutable sign, Virgos are flexible and can make adjustments as needed.
A Virgo working on their most positive strengths will be empathic, creative, organized, adaptable, supportive, health-oriented, giving to a fault, great at communication, and a natural lover of language and knowledge. Everyone needs a good Virgo in their corner. In love, Virgos are loyal, devoted, thoughtful, and intuitive. Best matches include a thoughtful Taurus, a sensitive Cancer, a traditional-minded Capricorn, and an evolved Scorpio working on their healer energy.
Negative traits of Virgos are nit-picking, being overly critical of themselves and others, a sharp tongue, overthinking, high anxiety, and over-extending to the point of draining their energy. A negative Virgo could be a negative Nelly, a ball of anxiety, or a nagging shrew. No fun to be around.
The revelry begins on September 2, when Cynthia Watros (Nina Reeves, General Hospital) turns 54. The very next day, September 3, Ashley Jones (Bridget Forrester, The Bold and the Beautiful) turns 46.
All the partying heads over to Days of our Lives next, as soap stars celebrate their natal day. Lindsay Arnold (Allie Horton) turns 23 on September 4, and Kristian Alfonso (Hope Brady) turns 59 on September 5.
The next day, September 6, GH star Nicholas Alexander Chavez (Spencer Cassadine) blows out 23 candles, and on September 7, DAYS alum William Utay (Dr. Rolf) turns 75. Chandler Massey (Will Horton) turns 32 on September 10, while that same day Jacob Young (ex-Rick, B&B; ex-Lucky, GH) turns 43.
Laura Wright (Carly Corinthos, GH) is toasting her special day on September 11 – she’s turning 52. Another GH star, Roger Howarth (Austin Gatlin-Holt), toasts #54 on September 13, while soap alum Jason Cook (ex-Matt, GH; ex-Shawn, DAYS) turns 42 that same day.
A pair of soap stars will be blowing out candles on September 14. Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers, The Young and the Restless; ex-Nina, GH) turns 56, while Chad Duell (Michael Corinthos, GH) turns 35.
One of DAYS’ most memorable Abigails, Kate Mansi, is having a birthday, too. She turns 35 on September 15.
Another popular daytimer, Billy Miller (ex-Drew Cain, GH; ex-Billy Abbott, Y&R), is commemorating a birthday, too. He turns 43 on September 17.
The next day, September 18, GH’s new Jordan Ashford warrants some birthday greetings as Tanisha Harper is turning 37.
Two pretty blonde actresses get into party mode on September 19. DAYS vet Alison Sweeney (Sami Brady) turns 46, while Katrina Bowden (Flo Logan, B&B) turns 34.
There are a pair of reasons to celebrate on September 21, too. Soap stars Brytni Sarpy (Elena Dawson, Y&R) and GH’s Bradford Anderson (Damian Spinelli, GH) turn 35 and 42, respectively.
Over at GH, the ever-vibrant Lynn Herring (Lucy Coe) toasts #64 on September 22. That same day, beloved Y&R alum Michael Graziadei will be celebrating as he turns 43 years old.
If you are a Libra (September 23 – October 22), here are some of your traits. Libra is the seventh sign of the zodiac and is an air sign symbolized by the scales of justice. As we more fully step into the fall season, we enter the Libra season — ruled by Venus, the planet that governs love, beauty, and money. Libras are focused on balance and harmony. Libras love art, fashion, intellectualism, and being surrounded by beauty. Accordingly, these air signs make excellent attorneys, designers, decorators, art critics, and stylists.
Libras are focused on companionship and relationships. The ladies like a sharp-dressed man. The men like attractive arm candy. And if someone outside their relationship finds them attractive, well, it is very appealing. A good place for their sense of balance and fairness to step in.
Negative traits of Libras are taking the opposite side of any argument just for the sake of it, indecision, not trusting their own intuition, being too mindful of what others think, attention-seeking outside the boundaries of their relationships, over-spending, and people-pleasing to a fault.
GH alum Ryan Paevey will be blowing out birthday candles on September 24 when he turns 38 years old. The next day, Josh Taylor (Roman Brady, DAYS) turns 79 on September 25.
Longtime soap favorite A Martinez, best remembered as Cruz Castillo on Santa Barbara and last seen as Eduardo Hernandez on DAYS, raises a glass of bubbly to his special day, too — September 27. He’s turning 74. That same day, fellow DAYS alum Patrick Muldoon turns 53.
Back on the Y&R front, two leading ladies share September 28 as their official party day. Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Lawson) turns 41, while Susan Walters (Diane Jenkins) turns 59. Over at GH, two share that same day as Vernee Watson (Stella Henry) blows out 73 candles on her cake, and alum Matt Cohen (ex-Griffin Munro) celebrates the big 4-0.
Finally, the month wraps up with a special DAYS’ soap star’s birthday. Drake Hogestyn (John Black) turns 69 on September 29.
The month of September will see six planets in Retrograde motion. Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto, Uranus, Neptune, and Mercury are all taking their annual backward spins just as we are set to begin the fall solstice. The ‘dreaded’ Mercury in Retrograde, from September 9 until October 2, is reminding us to slow down, rethink our decisions, double-check our facts and figures, watch for communication issues, be clear and be cautious when signing contracts and making big purchases, and stay up to date on your mechanical maintenance.
With the other five planets in retrograde motion, it may feel like there is something holding us back from being our best selves. Life may seem to be throwing up obstacles in our way. Don’t worry. Stay grounded and pay attention. Pay attention to what the Universe is shining the light on in your world and make appropriate changes so you can move on.
September 5th finds Venus in Virgo. This is a positive placement overall but do watch for being overly critical of yourself and your loved ones. Venus, in this placement, is helpful, supportive, precise, and adaptable. It returns to its ruling sign of Libra on September 29th, where it is at its most loving and most comfortable. A good omen heading into the fall season.
On September 10th, there is a full moon in Pisces. This is a good time to watch out for your health and your emotional well-being. Try to stay off any emotional rollercoaster that may show up in your daily life. This is especially true for sun signs in Pisces, Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, and Capricorn.
There will be five oppositions in September, with the worst on September 16th. Signs should look out for where you may be overspending, illusions, over-idealizing in your career sector, unfulfilled promises, and issues of trust. Be real and look for the real in others. Expect more volatile weather. Practice positive manifestation.
