Fans of Kristen Alderson have missed seeing this adorable actress since she General Hospital several years ago after literally growing up on One Life to Live, but the actress herself has a major reason to be festive.
That’s because the actress was born on May 29, 1991, in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania, which means that this talented performer is turning 32 years old today! Alderson was six when she successfully auditioned for the part of One Life to Live’s Starr Manning.
As Starr, she was allowed to grow up on the show (along with her brother, Eddie) and took her from a precocious little girl to a young mother who lost her child. She also took her from one soap to another.
During her tenure at the soap, Alderson also appeared in television commercials for JC Penny, Citgo, and the Soap Network. When OLTL was abruptly canceled in 2011, Alderson was one of several actors who reprised their respective parts on sister series General Hospital.
When a subsequent lawsuit resulted in the removal of the OLTL characters, Alderson temporarily exited GH before returning to play Lauren Katherine “Kiki” Jerome, a newly-created character tied to the Jerome family. She remained in the role until February 2015, at which point the character was recast with former The Young and the Restless star Hayley Erin.
Alderson’s other acting credits include Melange, a pilot for a new nighttime soap, and The Marvelous Wonderettes, an off-Broadway comedy musical. In 2013, Alderson was awarded a Daytime Emmy statuette (for Outstanding Younger Actress) for her work as Starr.
