General Hospital’s Lulu is finally awake after four years. Is it time for her to get back with her ex, or should they both move on?
Reunited, And It Feels So Good
Lulu (Alexa Havins) is not only awake, she is running around Port Charles arguing with anyone she can find. She even went to Prague to find Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez).
Before Luke (Anthony Geary) and Laura’s (Genie Francis) daughter fell into a coma, she was in a relationship with Dustin (Mark Lawson), and he had just proposed. But she admitted to her bestie Maxie (Kirsten Storms) that she still loved Dante (Dominic Zamprogna).
Dante and Lulu had a great love story but not without challenges. They separated multiple times, divorced, and remarried. The couple share a son, Rocco (Finn Carr). They divorced a second time, but not because they weren’t in love. After Dante returned from a WSB mission, he was brainwashed and afraid he would hurt his wife, so he left her.
Lulu is back and single, and Dante is single, so now is the perfect time for them to continue their love story. When these two were good, they were very good, and it’s time for them to continue their journey together.
We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together
There is a flip side to this argument. They were a great couple once upon a time, but it may be too late for them. While his ex-wife was in a coma, Dante fell very much in love with Sam (Kelly Monaco). They moved in together and combined their families. It was a happy, stable relationship that looked like it would be forever. Dante even proposed to his love after she donated part of her kidney to Lulu. Sadly, Sam was murdered by Cyrus (Jeff Kober), and her fiance was devastated. He is still grieving her loss.
Now, Lulu only has one thing on her mind: getting Charlotte back. She is being difficult, irresponsible, and argumentative. Dante has lost patience for her, especially because she doesn’t seem to care about Rocco, who missed her terribly. The PCPD Detective has become a grownup and Lulu is acting like a child. They have become different people with little in common except for their son.
Even if this couple somehow made their way back to each other, there is trouble brewing. It will probably soon be revealed that Gio (Giovanni Mazza) is Dante’s child with Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) from a teenage relationship. There is no love loss between Lulu and Brook Lynn, so this news will not go over well at all. It will undoubtedly cause more friction between the exes. It might be time for them to both move on. What do you think? Should Dante and Lulu become a couple again? Let us know in the comments.
