General Hospital star Sawandi Wilson recently arrived in Port Charles to play Dr. Isaiah Gannon. Before joining GH, Wilson portrayed Captain Leto during the last season of Star Trek: Discovery, and he appeared in Amazon and Netflix shows as well. Now, Wilson has revealed he has another project in the works.
Upcoming Film
On January 6, Wilson shared a teaser about the upcoming project via his Instagram page. “✅🔥 COMING SOON,” he wrote. He tagged the Instagram page for a movie titled Odisea and gave “shouts out” to both Billboard and Rolling Stone en Espanol.
The Instagram post included a handful of photos, several of which were screenshots from publications that wrote about the project. In addition, Wilson shared a photo of him with Ozuna, the Puerto Rican singer who is the subject of the upcoming film.
According to Rolling Stone, Odisea is a biographical film about Ozuna’s life. The project is the first from the singer’s production company, Bear with Oz Films. The name of the film is also the name of the singer’s first album, which was released in 2017. Billboard noted the album held the top spot on their Top Latin Albums chart for 46 weeks.
Wilson is a cast member of Odisea, which was filmed in New York, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic. The first trailer for the film debuted on December 25. A release date in 2025 has not yet been revealed.
Fans who follow Wilson on Instagram were excited to see the announcement about the film.
“@sawandiwilson love you in GH! Huge fan of Ozuna! Cannot wait to see this movie. So happy you will be a part of it,” wrote one.

Several of the comments left on Wilson’s post included fire emojis and a handful of others as everybody signaled their excitement about the project. Nothing specific has emerged about Wilson’s role in Odisea yet. Despite that, his fans are eager to see the movie when it becomes available.
