Once upon a time, General Hospital‘s Sasha and Michael were very much in love. Have her feelings returned?
Backstory
Michael (ex-Chad Duell) and Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) made a great couple. They were happy together for quite a while. This couple may have gone the distance, but Sasha sacrificed their relationship so that Michael could raise Wiley (Viron Weaver) with Willow (Katelyn MacMullen).
They both moved on. Michael and Willow got married and began a life raising their children. Sasha fell in love with Brando (the late Johnny Wactor), but things did not go smoothly. Their newborn son died, and then Brando was murdered. His widow was committed against her will, drugged, and almost killed. She then fell for Cody (Josh Kelly), but he turned out to be her cousin. Poor Sasha has not had it easy.
Sasha and Michael ended up in bed together when they were both at pretty low points. Now, she is pregnant with her ex’s baby, and he is in a burn unit in Germany.
Defends To The End
Willow and Sasha used to be best friends but they had a falling out when Willow cheated on her husband with his uncle. They are now practically at each other’s throats. Michael’s soon-to-be-ex constantly lashes out at her former bestie, especially because she thinks Jason (Steve Burton) is the baby’s father. Wait until she finds out who the real baby daddy is.
Sasha, along with the rest of Port Charles, is furious with Willow. But is Sasha’s anger something more? She once loved Michael and is now pregnant with his child. Her feelings for her ex may be coming up again. She is going to great lengths so that no one knows she slept with Michael for him to keep custody of his children with Willow. Sasha cares for him and his well-being, which Willow no longer does.
What’s Old Is New
Sasha and Michael make a great couple and could be very happy together. It also helps that Carly (Laura Wright) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) adore her. She would ease right into the family with no problems. Michael deserves someone who will fight for him and with him.
The biggest problem is that Chad Duell has left the show, so Michael is off canvas. It is always possible for him to return. If not, they can recast. Michael and Sasha could be the couple we have been waiting for. Would you like to see them together? Let us know in the comments.
