In an Instagram video, Paevey (Nathan) set the record straight about making Gibson’s (Michael) wedding ring. The actor spoke in the video, kicking it off by declaring he does “occasionally work in film and television.”
Since returning to GH last summer, Peavey has made new friends, including Gibson.
“Rory and I got to talking about what we do outside of work, obviously, and I mentioned this,” Paevey said as he was sitting in his shop.
The actor explained that Gibson revealed he was looking for a wedding band, which led Paevey to reveal his passion for making jewelry. No, he wasn’t trying to generate business. The two men were simply having a casual conversation.
“We’ve kind of become buddies. He’s a good guy. And I was just like, ‘Well, I only work in silver, really, but I’ll make you a band if you just need a band.’ And I was really touched and honored that Rory would ask me to make his wedding band,” Paevey expressed.
They worked out the design, which Paevey called simple. He then reiterated that he was very honored that Gibson asked him to make it.
I think stuff like that is sometimes my favorite stuff to make. It’s not an overly complicated thing that I made, but it has meaning behind it, you know? It wasn’t… to show off to a friend about, some amazing feat of technical expertise. It just, I don’t know, it was a simple thing made for a good friend with sentimental value, and I liked it. I think it turned out pretty cool,” the soap star stated.
The end of the video featured Gibson smiling and wearing his wedding band. Gibson has not given any details about his upcoming nuptials to his longtime girlfriend, Alicia Ruelas.
