General Hospital made sure that Ryan Carnes, who plays Dr. Lucas Jones, was among the actors who were part of the tribute episodes to the late Bobbie Spencer, played by Jacklyn Zeman. Now, Carnes is speaking out on reprising his fan-favorite role.
Ryan Carnes: Giving Thanks
“Thank you to everyone who tuned into the General Hospital farewell episodes last week and celebrated Jackie’s life with us,” Carnes posted on Instagram. “It was a true honor to pay homage and give proper tribute to such a kind, beautiful person and powerhouse actress. She is sorely missed, but I sure am grateful the world got her for as long as it did and that we got to send her off with so much love.”
GH fans agreed with Soap Hub that Carnes gave terrific performances in these episodes and they’re now speaking on their desire to see more of him in Port Charles.
“It was honestly one of the best, if not the best, send-offs I have ever seen! It was amazing to see everyone who came back to say goodbye (including you!) and the ‘memory scenes’ were incredible!” shared Bev Hess. “I especially loved how they brought BJ [Brighton Hertford pack as Angela Brighton] back! That was soooo touching! It was lovely! I had many tears and much laughter right along with the cast!”
“It is always great to see a Ryan Carnes spotting,” added Mitch Sandusky. “Great job and handsome as ever.” Added mpds11590: “SO glad you were back for it! Wish you could be back full-time!”
“We need some more Lucas back in our lives!” wrote iammrvaldez. Added butterfly_phai: “I am so grateful to GH for calling you back! What a beautiful tribute to Jackie from you and the cast. You are missed. I only wish you could come back full-time if possible!”
