Something’s been off about Nathan from the second he came back from the dead, and this one minor detail on the October 24, 2025 episode of General Hospital that may be the proof we need to confirm he’s not actually Nathan.
Key Takeaways
- Lulu told Nathan that he’s the love of Maxie’s life.
- Spinelli worried about his role in James’ life now that Nathan is back.
- Nathan made a big mistake.
Nathan’s Memory Lapse
Nathan’s (Ryan Paevey) supposed amnesia has been the center of his return story on GH. He doesn’t remember where he’s been for the last seven years, why he was driving through Port Charles, or who he was talking on a burner phone to…or so he claims, anyway.
Now, Nathan’s memory seems to be getting even worse. That, or he’s not the man he says he is.
During a talk with Lulu (Alexa Havins) where she annoyed Spixie shippers everywhere by assuring Nathan that he was the love of Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms, who recently opened up about her latest health battle) life, there was one thing Nathan said that caught viewers’ attention.
When Lulu talked about Charlotte (Bluesy Burke), Nathan told her he wished he could have met her. This statement makes absolutely no sense if you know Nathan’s history, and know that at one point in time, Nathan was believed to be Charlotte’s dad, not Valentin (James Patrick Stuart).
The slip of the tongue was only caught by viewers, who were quick to jump to X (formerly Twitter) with their confusion. “Nathan hasn’t met Charlotte yet??? Didn’t he think he was her dad????” one enthusiastic fan wrote, while another offered some receipts in the form of episode stills:
Spinelli Spirals
On the other side of things, we have Spinelli, who confided in Jason (Steve Burton) about his worry that Nathan will try and take James (Gary James Fuller) from him. Nathan is James’ dad after all, but to James, Spinelli has been the only father figure he truly knows. Spinelli is certainly right to worry, especially if Nathan isn’t actually Nathan.

General Hospital spoilers for October 27 tease that Lulu will be left reeling when she learns that she was left out of a secret dinner involving Nathan, Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), and her son Rocco (Finn Carr).
