Sonny Breaks News to Diane
Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) has known about Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) decision to bring Ric (Rick Hearst) on to handle his not-so-legal dealings, and now, it was time to break it to Diane (Carolyn Hennesy). During a meeting, when Diane mentioned paperwork regarding piers, Sonny assured her she didn’t have to take care of it. And when Diane fought him on it, he admitted he assigned that legal matter to another attorney.
Diane being the strong, outspoken woman she is, didn’t go down without a fight. She reminded Sonny of how much she’s done for him and how long she’s worked for him, but Sonny told her he simply wanted to bring his brother Ric (Rick Hearst) on to handle those dealings.
Diane went on to question Sonny’s decision, considering Ric has been against Sonny for decades. But Sonny is determined to give his brother a chance, and keep Diane on for other legal matters, and there’s no arguing when Sonny wants what he wants.
Ric’s True Motives Revealed
Meanwhile, after Ric assured Alexis he’s a changed man, he met Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) for dinner, where he told her he’ll be staying on as Sonny’s attorney. Then he revealed the true reason why he wants to work for his brother.
Her. “I’ve got to have a stable job if I want to put down roots here in Port Charles, and I want to do that with you,” he admitted to her. Ric has been fighting for Elizabeth’s heart from the second both he and Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) returned to Port Charles. But with Lucky once again out of the picture, Ric sees this as his best shot with the woman he loves. That is, if Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) doesn’t swoop in and steal her.
General Hospital spoilers for March 18 tease another Port Charles couple, Lulu (Alexa Havins) and Nathan (Ryan Paevey), who go on their first date. Of course, things can’t be that simple in Port Charles when their date is said to be interrupted.
