Anna’s been held hostage for months now, tormented by flickers from her past with Faison. But now, it’s people coming to drive her mad, and her visitor during the January 23, 2026 episode of General Hospital left her in shock.
Key Takeaways
- Anna was visited by Peter August.
- Anna and Peter argued about the possibility of him being alive and Faison’s role in it all.
- Peter’s visit felt much more real than Obrecht’s, allowing viewers to question whether he’s truly dead.
Peter Returns
First, it was Faison’s (Anders Hove) novel, then it was his voice. Anna’s (Finola Hughes) first unexpected visitor came in the form of Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), but it was later revealed that was a hallucination.
Now, when Anna woke up, she was shocked by who was staring back at her: Peter (Wes Ramsey). Anna told herself he was dead, and that she watched him die, but Peter reminded her that they also thought his siblings Nathan (Ryan Paevey) and Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) were dead, just like they think Faison is.

Anna kept her eyes off him as he spoke, certain what she was seeing in front of her wasn’t real. But Peter simply kept reminding her of her guilt for his death, and that his father was full of tricks.
By the end of the episode, Anna was curled up on the couch begging for it to stop, while Peter walked away. He didn’t poof into thin air or disappear in a moment of awakening. He simply walked away, begging the question: was he real?
While it easily could have been Pascal (Marc Forget) making Anna hallucinate Peter, it’s also not a stretch to assume he’s as alive and well as his previously dead siblings. And if anyone is going to torture Anna with the threat of Faison, it’s Peter.
The January 23 episode also included a tribute to the late Anthony Geary, featuring Genie Francis (Laura), Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis), and Laura Wright (Carly), while another tribute episode is planned for February.
