General Hospital stepped away from the drama of Maxie’s return and Willow’s hold on Drew to pay a perfect tribute to the late Anthony Geary’s Luke Spencer on the February 20, 2026 episode.
Key Takeaways
- Lulu was hit with a wave of grief for her dad.
- Laura remembered the love of a lifetime she had with Luke.
- Port Charles gave Luke and Anthony Geary a proper send-off.
Lulu Mourns Her Dad
When Lulu (Alexa Havins) discovered an old photo of her father, his death hit her all over again. Tracy (Jane Elliot) realized she never got to properly mourn him, having been in a coma when he died, so her step-monster knew just how to make things right.
Tracy paid off a bartender at the Brown Dog, notably named Luke, to have the closed bar to themselves to have some drinks and remember Luke. At the same time, a poker chip Sonny (Maurice Benard) found sent him and Carly (Laura Wright) on a trip down memory lane.
Laura Remembers Her Greatest Love
When Laura (Genie Francis) suddenly began missing Luke, she took her memories to the chapel, where she thanked him for the good times and remembered every epic moment they shared. Flashbacks of everything from Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) and Lulu to the Triple L Diner played while the famous, original GH theme song, “Faces of the Heart” by Dave Koz, could be heard in the background.
Laura revealed she could still feel Luke’s presence in everything she does, then thanked him for everything they shared together, perfectly reflecting Francis’ real-life words for her late leading man. “Thank you for the dance,” Laura said, referring to their unforgettable dance at Wyndham’s. “Thank you for the adventure. And thank you for the love of a lifetime.”
Sending Luke Off
At the end of the day, everyone came together to send lanterns into the river in honor of Luke. Stood on the pier were Lulu, Laura, Tracy, Sonny, Carly, and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). As the lanterns floated into the fog, Lulu caught a glimpse of her father in the distance (a flashback from Geary’s farewell episode in 2015).

This is only the beginning of GH’s tribute episodes this year. Still to come, the soap will pay tribute to Tristan Rogers (Robert) and Denise Alexander (Lesley), who both also passed away in 2025.
