Maxie Comes Home
Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) house was buzzing with anticipation for her arrival, with Mac (John J. York) complimenting Georgie (Lily Fisher) and James (Gary James Fuller) on their Welcome Home sign. But when James wanted to climb on a chair to fix it, Mac lovingly laid into his grandson for wanting to do yet another dangerous thing.
What Mac didn’t know, was that Maxie had walked in the door and was watching the whole scene play out. “Mission accomplished…I’m home,” were the words that pulled Mac from his rant and led him into a hug.
Maxie’s welcome home party consisted of her kids, her parents, Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), Cody (Josh Kelly), Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton), and Chase (Josh Swickard). Lulu (Alexa Havins) was the last to arrive, in disbelief her best friend was finally awake. But when Maxie assured Lulu what a good friend she was, Lulu’s guilt for kissing her husband resurfaced.
Maxie Sees Nathan
As the party died down, Maxie and Spinelli got a moment alone, where she thanked him for taking the lead while she was gone. And when he suggested things might not be the same going forward, Maxie scolded him the way only she can, but appreciated his offer to let her take her time.
As Maxie decided to get some fresh air and a moment to herself, Nathan (Ryan Paevey) was visiting a snow-covered grave at the cemetery when he heard, “Nathan?” The moment she saw him, the sparks instantly returned as a magical tune played. They were finally reunited.
While General Hospital spoilers for February 20 take a step away from the drama to pay a final tribute to Luke (the late Anthony Geary), Maxie and Nathan’s story is only getting started. Knowing he’s alive was one thing, but seeing him was another, and could slowly change what Maxie has with Spinelli. That is, if Nathan’s true feelings for Lulu don’t get in the way.
