Quartermaine History Repeats Itself
It’s been a rough year for The Quartermaines after learning Gio (Giovanni Mazza) is a long-lost member of the family, losing their matriarch, and nearly losing their iconic home. But now that Ronnie (Erika Slezak) has left Port Charles and The Q’s are all together again in the home where they belong, they’ve seemed almost invincible…almost.
After some grandfather-grandson bonding with Gio, Ned (Wally Kurth) received a call from the movers in charge of moving all of their priceless family heirlooms back into the mansion. When he questioned how they could have possibly lost the boxes, a voice from behind him assured they weren’t lost. That was when Ned turned around and spotted Drew (Cameron Mathison).
Drew being the conniving, cutthroat, wannabe Q he is, admitted that he got the movers to move everything to his house instead, reveling in the way Ned got angrier and angrier the more he spoke. But once Ned had trouble catching his breath and fell to his knees, Drew’s true Q showed.
While Drew outright laughed at the thought of Ned faking a heart attack and noted it was straight out of the Quartermaine playbook, it was his reaction to the situation that sent viewers straight back to a classic GH moment between Tracy (Jane Elliot) and Edward (the late David Lewis).
No one’s ever forgotten the moment when Tracy withheld her father’s heart medication while having a heart attack, and Drew walking away as Ned collapsed onto the ground outside of Bobbie’s proved even worse than what Tracy once did.
General Hospital spoilers for November 11 leave us hanging on Ned’s fate, and instead tease the aftermath of Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) learning that Chase (Josh Swickard) has been risking his career to save Willow (Katelyn MacMullen). And with the way Brook Lynn and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) spoke while Chase and Willow grew a tad closer today, we may be in for a couple switch-up.
