While Chase just married into the family and Sasha moved in as the new cook, the May 23, 2024 episode of General Hospital saw The Quartermaines get yet another new family member.

Welcome, Gio!

After getting permission from Monica (Leslie Charleson), Lois (Rena Sofer) prepared the Quartermaine Mansion for someone new to move into the already full house. A Cerullo family member, Gio (Giovanni Mazza, who recently made his GH debut), arrived wheeling in suitcases and Lois assured him the closet in his new room is big enough for it all.

Lois informed Gio of Gregory’s (Gregory Harrison) passing, to which he suggested it was the wrong time for him to move in. When he remarked that The Quartermaines don’t even know him, Lois assured him that they will, because he’s now extended family and she thinks Port Charles is the right place for him.

Not-So-New Guy

Gio quickly made his mark in Port Charles after playing violin at Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) wedding (and doubles as a real-life violinist). First, he reconnected with old family friend Sonny (Maurice Benard), who expressed his fondness for the young man, and it was revealed Sonny paid for his music lessons.

Gio also introduced himself to Josslyn (Eden McCoy), the beginnings of a spark between them despite her torn feelings for Dex (Evan Hofer). Dex also chatted with Gio, whose father served in the military and died when he was young. Dex assured him his father would be proud, and Gio mentioned his interest in becoming a cop rather than a violinist.

How do you think Gio will shake up Port Charles? Let us know in the comments.
