How General Hospital’s Quartermaine Mansion Turned Into An Orphanage

Despite the Quartermaine family dwindling in recent years on General Hospital, their iconic mansion has filled up in the most unexpected way.

The Quartermaine Mansion was once occupied by infamous family members, like Monica (Leslie Charleson), Tracy (Jane Elliot), and her notable parents, Edward (ex-John Ingle) and Lila (ex-Anna Lee). More recently, a new generation of Quartermaines has moved in, like Michael (Chad Duell, who recently announced his GH exit) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton), along with their spouses and children.

But what was once the home of arguing and bickering, betrayals and ELQ drama, has now turned into a place to pawn off Port Charles’ parentless kids.

It all started when Violet (ex-Jophielle Love) moved into the mansion with Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn after already being ashamed by her mom and left with her uncle when Finn (ex-Michael Easton) went to rehab. Violet moved in around the same time as Gio (Giovanni Mazza), who has also revealed to be orphaned.

Next to move in was Baby Ace (Jay and Joey Clay) after Laura (Genie Francis) and Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) took off to find Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) leaving their also orphaned grandson with Tracy. At the time, there were several other kids running around the mansion as Maxie (Kirsten Storms) brought Georgie (Lily Fisher) and James (Gary James Fuller) to visit and Leo (Easton Rocket Sweda) appearing from time to time.

As if there weren’t enough kids already at the mansion, after Sam’s (ex-Kelly Monaco) death left Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) and Scout (Cosette Abinante) without a mother and Rocco (Finn Francis Carr) with a broken family, their dads came together with a solution: move them all into the mansion. And if that’s not enough kids, Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) just got pregnant with Michael’s baby, Brook Lynn and Chase are trying to start their family, and it’s only a matter of time before Drew (Cameron Mathison) gets Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) pregnant.
