Portia Found A Way To Keep Heather Locked Up On The July 11 General Hospital

Will Portia’s plan work?

 Comments

Portia has been on a rampage on General Hospital ever since Laura questioned whether Heather is responsible for her crimes. On the July 11, 2024 episode, the mother of one of Heather’s victims found a way to keep the killer locked up for good.

Rock The Vote

After confronting Laura (Genie Francis) about her Heather (Alley Mills) theory on Fourth of July, Portia (Brook Kerr) arrived at Jordan’s (Tanisha Harper) office with an idea. “I want a recall vote to remove Laura Collins from office,” she revealed.

Portia noted that if it passes, Port Charles would have a new mayor, Deputy Mayor Jordan Ashford. It was the perfect plan until Jordan fought her on the idea, explaining her that Laura is just trying to be fair to Heather.

Portia questioned whether Jordan was thinking as a politician or as a former cop, getting emotional when she thought back on what Heather did to Trina (Tabyana Ali, who just announced a new project) and warning Jordan that she’s not going to sit around and watch Heather be released.

Heather’s Confession

The news of Heather’s possible release also traveled to Pentonville when Heather asked Laura about it during a visit, and her reaction was unexpected. “I need to stay locked up,” she told Laura.

When Laura asked why Heather wanted to stay in prison, she said she hated being there and away from her grandson, but knew it was necessary to keep her from possibly killing again. “I can’t sit here and tell you that if I was let out tomorrow, that I wouldn’t hurt anyone,” she admitted, and Laura agreed to drop the case if that was what Heather wanted.

With everyone wanting Heather to stay behind bars – including Heather herself – do you think it’s only a matter of time until she’s released? Let us know in the comments.
