In General Hospital’s 61 years, the show has always had its signature doctors, cops, and monsters. Now, Port Charles may need to hold a job fair, because several citizens are having a career crisis and about to change directions.
Cops And Mobsters
The Port Charles mob just had a bunch of shakeups, starting with Jason (Steve Burton) returning to Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) business. Sonny hasn’t been thrilled with the idea so far, but Jason already seems right at home working in the Corinthos Coffee warehouse and taking over Sonny’s office. It may only be a matter of time until Jason reclaims his rightful spot as Sonny’s right-hand man.
Especially now that Dex (Evan Hofer) is out of the business and about to enter into an unexpected career. After working for Sonny – even almost killing someone for the mob boss – Anna (Finola Hughes) saw past Dex’s flaws and offered him a job at the PCPD. Anna believes this will ensure Dex’s safety from Sonny, while Josslyn (Eden McCoy) has been overwhelmed with concern for her ex.
No More Nursing?
Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) has already gone through a radical career change in recent years, starting out as a teacher and later becoming a GH nurse. So it came out of nowhere when she shared with Michael (Chad Duell) her concerns about missing their kids growing up due to work.
Michael immediately assured her she didn’t have to work, but when she said she still wanted to do something, he suggested she take on one of the Quartermaine charities. As a cancer survivor, odds are Willow will choose something related to cancer research or childhood cancer.
Famous Face And Revisiting Law
Meanwhile, Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) has taken on the role of face of Deception since Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) suddenly quit on everyone, deciding it was time to leave and she’s looking for her new purpose in life. Cody (Josh Kelly) also quit as the male face of Deception, and since finally admitting their feelings for each other, the two have enjoyed working together in the Quartermaine stables. Maybe Sasha will also start working in the stables, or get a job involving cooking after shocking Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) with her cooking skills.
Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) also endured a radical career switch after being disbarred and taking on the editor-in-chief position at The Invader. But this job never sat right with her, and after several moments of crisis, Alexis has finally decided she’s ready to try and get her law career back.
