With a church full of beloved faces, Port Charles gathered to say an emotional goodbye to Sam on the November 19, 2024 episode of General Hospital.
Beginning of the End
Sam’s (ex-Kelly Monaco) family and friends filled the church as her funeral began, and the first to speak were her sisters. Molly (Kristen Vaganos) and Kristina (Kate Mansi) each made heartfelt speeches before the real heartbreak began.
Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) said a tearful goodbye to his Fair Samantha, flashing back to a moment in the early 2000s when Sam gave him tips on how to win over his now-girlfriend, Maxie (Kirsten Storms). Carly and Elizabeth also spoke of their longtime frenemy, flashing back to memorable mean moments they shared.

When Lucky (Jonathan Jackson, who recently joined a fellow GH co-star for a special podcast episode) spoke about his friend’s sacrifice, his previous relationship with Sam was ignored, most likely due to Lucky being played by Days of our Lives’ Greg Vaughan at the time.
Grieving Exes
Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) took to the podium to say a final goodbye to his fiancee, while Rocco (Finn Francis Carr) assured Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) and Scout (Cosette Abinante) that they would always be a family. Jason (Steve Burton) made the rare decision to speak to everyone about his love for Sam, saying he was doing it so her kids would know how incredible she was.
After Danny’s heartbreaking goodbye to his mom, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) was the last to speak. She flashed back to unforgettable moments in their mother-daughter relationship, grateful they made it through the hard times they endured. Alexis became the last one to leave the church with Kristina and Molly by her side as she remembered her daughter with a series of flashbacks from Sam’s 21 years in Port Charles.
