September was an emotional month for many of our General Hospital favorites, by the time Monica’s funeral came to an end, we just couldn’t choose between two GH icons for Soap Hub’s Performer of the Month.
September 2025 Performer of the Month
The Nominees
Kristina Wagner (Felicia) has had a lot of heavy storyline lately on GH. Last month, we acknowledged her for her work when Maxie (Kirsten Storms) had a heart attack and fell into a coma, and this month, we need to acknowledge her performance when Felicia discovered Nathan (Ryan Paevey) was alive. The perfect combination of shock and uncertainty, Wagner portrayed a worried mother and grandmother as Finola Hughes’ Anna explained that her dead son-in-law is actually alive.
Another notable actor during Nathan’s unexpected arrival was Dominic Zamprogna (Dante). His character has been through a lot of turmoil this last year — Sam’s (Kelly Monaco) death, Lulu (Alexa Havins) waking up, learning he has a long lost son — so to suddenly get another shock in the form of his best friend was something Zamprogna portrayed simply but profoundly.
The Top Spots
September’s top spot is being shared by two GH vets, Jane Elliot (Tracy) and Steve Burton (Jason), for their work both together and individually when their characters learned of Monica’s (the late Leslie Charleson) passing.
Both actors had strong relationships with both the character and her portrayer, and watching as they learned of Monica’s death and comforted each other was played out beautifully between the two.
Burton allowed the typically stonecold Jason to grieve his mother alongside Michael (Rory Gibson), Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), and especially Tracy.
Elliot performed Tracy’s opposite reaction flawlessly, allowing the character to deny the fact her best frenemy was gone.
