Jane Elliot is the January 2025 Performer of the Month for GH.
The first month of 2025 was particularly dramatic and explosive for General Hospital. Literally explosive. An incendiary device went off in Sonny’s penthouse, sending Michael to the hospital with severe burns all over his body. A custody mess erupted as a result. Meanwhile, Dante and Alexis found out somebody had murdered Sam. Drew Cain continued his descent to persona non grata for almost everybody in town, including January’s Performer of the Month.
Thanks to her character, Katelyn MacMullen had a wild January. Willow dealt with drama on all sides. When she was in DC with Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Wiley (Viron Weaver), Michael (ex-Chad Duell) got seriously hurt. It turned into a tale involving her medical proxy, leverage, and a battle for her kids. MacMullen handled all of this chaos like a boss.
Speaking of bosses, corporate CEO Curtis couldn’t be beat as Donnell Turner schemed with Nina and went toe-to-toe with former friend Drew. It was so much fun to see Turner navigate the shark-infested waters of Aurora Media and Drew’s sudden political power. With Turner’s help, Curtis is decisive and determined.
In the runner-up position was Laura Wright, who started the month fearing for her son. Wright channeled the maximum amount of anger and despair to deal with Willow’s medical proxy obstacle. By the end of the month, Carly was in Germany at the clinic Brennan (Charles Mesure) found to help Michael. Carly and Brennan connected with conversations and a heated kiss. And Wright played such different beats wonderfully.

Jane Elliot was more than a force of nature in January. In fact, fans made her the overwhelming Performer of the Month with 70 percent of the vote. Tracy was a hurricane, a tornado, and maybe even an earthquake all wrapped in one. She got in everybody’s faces as she attempted to keep Wiley and Amelia (Sequoia & Serenity Mork Macko) at the Quartermaine house with Monica (the late Leslie Charleson).
Even with all of Tracy’s vitriol, Elliot has a way of changing up her character’s emotions with each person Tracy goes up against. So her anger is never one note. And then, when you see the cracks of vulnerability, that makes it more special,. especially in her scenes with Vernee Watson’s Stella. Check out all the verbal sparring she did with Martin (Michael E. Knight). Those two were so much fun to watch in January.
