Things have been slowly heating up between Sonny and Ava on General Hospital ever since she moved into the penthouse with him. But the May 6, 2024 episode saw Sonny bring another woman home, and Ava’s not thrilled about it.
After a fight in the park with Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez), Natalia (Eva LaRue) was startled when Sonny (Maurice Benard, who recently reflected on all of his Carlys on GH) appeared. He apologized for scaring her and the two exchanged small talk before Natalia offered him the spot beside her on the park bench.
The two swapped stories about fighting with loved ones and Sonny revealed to Natalia that he’s bipolar and Carly’s (Laura Wright) role in managing his mental illness. Their venting turned into more when Sonny asked Natalia to get a drink with him and the two headed to Sonny’s penthouse.
Ava (Maura West, who recently celebrated her birthday) immediately greeted Sonny when he came home, but her expression changed when she noticed Natalia walk in behind him. Sonny I produced the two, claiming Ava was only at his place to help out. When Natalia asked if he has any nannies, Ava assured her she’s not one of them.
Sonny decided to break out a bottle of Scotch and asked Ava to pour a glass for Natalia. When the pair shared more conversation by the patio and Ava snaked her way over, Sonny turned to her asking if she had to make some calls for the gallery. A jealous Ava agreed and walked away, but eavesdropped from behind the wall when Sonny assured Natalia things “aren’t like that” with Avery’s (Ava and Grace Scarola) mother.
Do you think Ava will find another way to insert herself into Sonny’s life? Let us know in the comments.
