Molly And TJ Named The Baby On August 21 General Hospital… Without Kristina

Molly and TJ finally gave their daughter a name on the August 21, 2024 episode of General Hospital… without Kristina.

A Namesake

Dressed in black, Molly (Kristen Vaganos) and TJ (Tahj Bellow, who recently chatted with Soap Hub about his character’s grief) comforted each other on the day of their daughter’s funeral. Wondering how they could bury their baby, the couple finally decided to give her a name.

After TJ’s family arrived, Molly went to tell her mom and Kristina (Kate Mansi, who shared how a GH co-star tried protecting her during the recent earthquake) while TJ announced their daughter’s name to everyone. He credited his Aunt Stella (Vernee Watson) for the idea, saying his daughter’s name could be seen in her, Curtis (Donnell Turner), and Marshall (Robert Gossett) before revealing they’d named her Irene after Stella’s sister.

Sibling Rivalry

At Alexis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) house, Kristina read over the papers her mom had drawn up, naming herself as the mother of the baby and offering visitation to TJ and Molly. Kristina wondered if they would hate her if they knew, and Alexis hid the papers away in her briefcase, saying they never had to know.

When Molly arrived, she told them she and TJ named the baby, to which Kristina immediately responded, “Without me?!” Molly stood her ground, saying it was hers and TJ’s decision, while Kristina admitted she wouldn’t have chosen the name Irene. Alexis begged her daughter’s not to argue when a knock on the door interrupted them.

In came John (Adam Harrington), demanding Kristina come down to the station after Ava (Maura West) gave her amended statement saying Kristina threatened to kill her. Alexis asked Molly to get the terms of Kristina’s release in her briefcase while she handled John, and that was when Molly found the papers Kristina had drawn up.
