Michael’s Family Is Torn Apart As He Fights For His Life On January 9 General Hospital

While Michael fights for his life in GH’s burn unit, his entire family is being torn apart at the seams on the January 9, 2025 episode of General Hospital.

Emotions Ran High

With Michael (Chad Duell) wrapped in bandages and hooked up to machines, Carly (Laura Wright) and Josslyn (Eden McCoy) were the first to peek in on him. But once Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) showed up to take immediate action for Michael’s children, Joss stormed away after learning of Willow’s (Katelyn MacMullen) latest betrayal.

After an intense conversation with Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Martin (Michael E. Knight), Willow asserted she needed to go to GH to see Michael, and that was when she ran into Joss. Despite her best efforts to try and make herself out to be a perfect angel, Joss went all Carly on her and tore into her for her deceit, and she didn’t hold anything back.

A few floors above them was Kristina (Kate Mansi), who sat on the GH roof. After going MIA, when Sonny (Maurice Benard) finally found her, he consoled her as she processed another potential loss in her life.

Custody Chaos

While everyone remained at GH, Diane was joined by Chase (Josh Swickard) at Nina’s apartment to take the children, thanks to Diane’s court order. Nina immediately fought them on it, assuming the kids may lose their father, but Diane assured her not to count Michael out just yet.

Back at GH, Jason (Steve Burton, who recently announced his engagement) was grieving over what happened to his nephew, even thinking back to raising him as a baby, where he promised Michael he would always keep him safe. When Jason was allowed in to sit with Michael, he suddenly woke up, groaning from the burns.
