Things may not always be action-packed while filming General Hospital, and Maurice Benard gave fans a glimpse into what he called a boring day at work.
Alone in the Dressing Room
In an Instagram Live on Tuesday, February 11 — which Benard (Sonny) later saved to his Instagram page — the actor captioned the video, “Very bored at work [sic] thought I’d chat with the audience.”
Sitting in front of a framed photo featuring stills of his GH character, Benard admitted, “I can’t tell you how bored I am… waiting to do a scene, it’s just taking, like, eternity.”

Benard went on to give viewers a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it tour of his dressing room, which was full of photos, before delving into something very important that’s been on his mind as of late: his hair. He previously touched on the current state of his hair during a recent episode of his podcast State of Mind and is now sharing the story with his Instagram followers.
“About my hair… I want gray, but the powers that be; this is what they want, and they’re the boss, so I have to give them what they want, right?” he said, referring to his jet-black hair.

Benard went on to announce the next guest on SOM, one soap fans will be thrilled about. “This Sunday is Sharon Case from The Young and the Restless, and trust me…she was fantastic, and I love her.”

While referring viewers to subscribe to the podcast ahead of Sunday’s new episode, Benard teased, “I’ve got some news coming up that is pretty big. I can’t mention it, but if it happens — it looks like it is going to happen — woo!”
The saved video got the attention of Benard’s GH co-star Finola Hughes (Anna), who simply responded with, “Hahahaha.”
