It’s that time of year when many soap stars get festive in Hallmark Channel Christmas movies, but on the December 9, 2024 episode of General Hospital, Lucky and Liz lived one of their own.
Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree
Port Charles’ Christmas tree lot is open for business, and while Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) roamed Rice Plaza watching a busker play guitar, he bumped – literally – into one of the lot’s first customers: Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). Their unexpected hello quickly turned into flirty banter about Elizabeth’s big ornament collection and Lucky offered to be her Christmas tree wingman.
After finding the perfect tree, the pair reminisced about their teenaged grand plan over hot chocolate, remembering the way Lucky wanted to become a musician and Elizabeth’s dream of becoming a famous artist. When Elizabeth noted he was the first person to ever believe in her, he assured her, “You deserve the world.”
He’ll Be Home For Christmas
After Lucky helped Elizabeth lug in the tree, he offered to stay and decorate with her and munch on Christmas cookies, turning into the most festive and flirty night of their lives. Lucky whacked out all the cute lines on her, everything from “There’s nowhere else I’d rather be” to “Who wouldn’t want to be friends with you?”

Elizabeth was surprised when Lucky suddenly revealed he planned on staying in Port Charles “for the foreseeable future.” He remarked his plans to get a job, and when Elizabeth mentioned that there’s room for more than one busker in Port Charles, Lucky remarked he’d need a guitar. That was when Elizabeth ran up to Cameron’s (ex-William Lipton) room and let Lucky borrow her son’s guitar. Cue the Lucky serenade we’ve all been waiting for.
Lucky accompanied himself on a song long-time viewers may remember, but if you don’t, GH provided flashbacks from the moment Lucky sang to Elizabeth back in the 90s (learn more about the supercouple’s iconic history). While this little concert didn’t end with a kiss, the two are certainly on their way to rekindling their long lost romance.
