Like Kristina, General Hospital’s Lulu is Becoming Her Father

On General Hospital, Kristina took one step forward to becoming like her father, Sonny, after they had an unprecedented heart-to-heart where he told her to embrace her anger as he does. Similarly, Lulu recently illustrated that she’s a lot like her Dad, Luke. She continues to move the Spencer family legacy forward and will stop at nothing to find her daughter, Charlotte. Woe to anyone who stands in her way. Just as nothing ever stood in Luke’s way.

A Scorched Earth Policy

Carly (Laura Wright) set up a meeting between Lulu (Alexa Havins) and Brennan (Charles Mesure) to help find Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez). He gave Lulu his phone to call Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) burner number. When there was no answer, Lulu doubted whether or not Brennan had actually called Valentin. He explained she should just trust him and that the burner phone was untraceable. Lulu didn’t believe him and also didn’t believe that he had little contact with Valentin, claiming not to know his location. With a temper like Luke’s (Anthony Geary), she slammed his phone on Carly’s desk. “I don’t believe it. Not for a second,” she exclaimed, continuing, “I am finding my daughter, even if I have to burn the WSB to the ground!”

That bold statement sent shivers up our spines and reminded us of who her parents were. Luke probably would have gone one step further and slammed Brennan against the wall, holding his lapel tightly. Her fierceness at that moment was reminiscent of her legendary Dad, and you could see a bit of fear on Brennan’s face for a brief moment. Even he couldn’t deny it, stating, “Wow. The family resemblance is, uh, unmistakable.” And he knew full well that Luke would scorch the Earth for his kids. Similarly, Kristina (Kate Mansi) wants vengeance against Ava (Maura West), and her Pop has stated he won’t fail her where the justice system did.

Spencer Ferocity Is Endemic

While Luke was far more self-serving than his kids, he still wouldn’t have put up with the runaround Brennan and the WSB were throwing out. We don’t really know if Brennan was telling the truth. But we know he was in cahoots with Valentin and facilitated his Port Charles exit. Despite having lost four years, Lulu’s still as sharp as ever. Her determination to find Charlotte is not only a trait from Luke but also a quality that Laura possesses. Luke and Sonny (Maurice Benard) were also great friends and did whatever they felt was right to protect their loved ones.

Fierce determination, a key trait of the Spencer family, is reflected in Lulu. The young woman may not be the con artist that her dad was, but she still has savvy skills when it comes to getting what she wants. It’s amazing to see the next generation of GH kids growing up and carrying on the mantle that their parents started: Kristina moving down the path to becoming a mobstress and Lulu being just as fierce as her father. Seeing these two become close friends like Luke and Sonny would be cool. (Check out GH’s subtle nod to Luke.)
