This callback had every millennial screaming.
While the November 1, 2024 episode of General Hospital was mostly centered around Sam’s devastating death, viewers also got a small but iconic light among the darkness.
Amid Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) saying a heartbreaking goodbye to his fiancee and Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) breaking the life-changing news to Kristina (Kate Mansi) and Molly (Kristen Vaganos), on the Friday episode following Halloween, we saw Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) adorable, little family prepare for trick-or-treating.

While James (Gary James Fuller) was dressed and ready to go in his Woody costume — very on brand for the cowboy-lover — Maxie went the fashionably fearful route, and Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) went over the top dressed head-to-toe as a skeleton, Georgie (Lily Fisher) wasn’t quite having it this Halloween. When she appeared not in costume, her parents immediately questioned her suspicious behavior.
After some encouraging advice from her parents that referenced her beloved namesake, Georgie finally decided to dress up and join her family for trick-or-treating. And when she came downstairs in costume, she looked adorable major!
Dressed in a pink shirt covered by a blue vest and hair in pigtails, Spinelli complimented his daughter’s costume while Maxie asked who she was dressed as.
“I’m Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century!” Georgie told her bewildered mother.
The costume came as a callback to Storms’ iconic Disney Channel character Zenon, a role Storms played for three films before breaking out into daytime.
GH took to Instagram with some behind-the-scenes snaps of Storms, Fisher, Anderson, and Fuller.
“Who doesn’t love a reference?” the soap asked in the caption. “Take a closer look at Georgie’s Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century costume and try telling us it isn’t perfection.”
The Monday, November 4 video preview teased sadness to follow for the family when Jason (Steve Burton) arrives and tells them about Sam. “She’s the reason I have your friendship,” Jason will tell Spinelli.
