With Blaze in need of a new record label on General Hospital, could the July 18, 2024 episode see the resurgence of the unforgettable L&B Records?
Saving Blaze
After Sonny (Maurice Benard, who recently revealed the reason he temporarily left GH) and Natalia (Eva LaRue) devised a plan to save Blaze’s (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) career, they called Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) over to the penthouse to get her on board. It didn’t take long for Brook Lynn to rip into Natalia for the problems she caused with her homophobic remarks toward Blaze and Kristina (Kate Mansi, who recently announced her engagement), but the animosity slowly dissolved when Sonny revealed their plan.
The pair offered to create their own record label for Blaze to release her music independently, and asked Brook Lynn to manage it. Brook Lynn was uncertain, not wanting to give Natalia control over her daughter’s career, but finally decided it was what’s best for Blaze.
A New L&B?
L&B Records was memorably run by Lois (Rena Sofer) and Brenda (Vanessa Marcil) in the 90s, and financially backed by Sonny. Notable singers on their label were Ned’s (Wally Kurth) musician alter ego Eddie Maine and Miguel Morez, played by pop singer Ricky Martin.
The old record label has been mentioned a handful of times as of late, most recently when Josslyn (Eden McCoy) reminded Gio (Giovanni Mazza) that his Aunt Lois used to be a music manager after she secured him a new gig. With Sonny’s new label being managed by Brook Lynn, could we see a resurgence of L&B – Lois and Brook Lynn?
What do you think the new label will be called? Let us know in the comments.
