GH’s Lane Davies Uncovers Unexpected Price Tag To Co-Star With Nancy Lee Grahn

Recently, some of your favorite soap stars from General Hospital, The Young and the Restless, The Bold and the Beautiful, and Days of our Lives gathered for Daytime Unites To Help End ALS. GH’s Nancy Lee Grahn gathered the soap stars she had in her phone book to put on the benefit. During the fan Q&A, which Soap Hub attended, GH newcomer, soap veteran Lane Davies, found himself in the hot seat.

Death Becomes Him

Genie Francis’s husband of nearly 40 years, Jonathan Frakes (Commander William Riker, Star Trek: The Next Generation), served as the MC of the event. Davies, who portrays Fergus Byrne in Port Charles, found himself in the hot seat.

“Are you concerned that anyone they pair with Nancy [Alexis] ends up dead?” Frakes asked.

“I’ll be brief,” Davies replied. “I think most of us here, especially the men, would agree that death is a small price to pay for the privilege of working with Nancy Lee Grahn,” he continued as everybody laughed. Check out the fun moment in the video below.

The duo is known for their portrayals of Mason Capwel and Julia Wainwright on Santa Barbara. While the hope is somehow the two pair up again, Frakes did have a point that people who are around Alexis in Port Charles meet their maker before all is said and done.

Grahn’s Daytime Unites to End ALS was a huge success, and together with the fans, they managed to raise $71,000 for ALS. Grahn tweeted, “Thanks to my beautiful friends who showed up, along with some extraordinarily kind Daytime fans, we raised over 71k for ALS. Truly grateful for the privilege to help move the needle a little closer to finding a cure.”
