Kelly Ripa revealed she is a huge General Hospital fan.
All My Children alum Kelly Ripa shared her support for another daytime soap. She wore a General Hospital shirt while training for the New York City marathon. She shared an exclusive content dump on Instagram showing all the times she ran in the annual race.
Over the weekend, Ripa shared a mixture of content on her Instagram page. She started out with a clip of herself wearing a resistance band around her waist. Her husband, Mark Consuelos, pulled on the band as she ran across the backyard of their Hamptons home. Ripa wore a black sports bra, navy blue leggings, and neon running sneakers.
She also included photos of her sons Michael and Joaquin running the track during high school. At a glance, they looked like spitting images of their famous father. Ripa also included a shot of her training with her fellow AMC alum in the cold weather. Both wore sweatshirts, gloves, beanies, and jogging pants but had big smiles.
The NYC Marathon took place on Sunday, November 3. The annual event brings together people worldwide to share their passion for running. Runners course through the five boroughs of New York City. It’s one of the largest marathons in the world, attracting over 50,000 participants, per The New York Post.
In one shot, Ripa wore a gray GH tank top with neon pink and green running shorts. The actress gave a subtle shout-out to the daytime soap. She had a big smile on her tired face and a medal around her neck with the “10” running number.
She posed beside her son, Joaquin, who donned a medal with the “4” running number. He wore a plain white T-shirt with black training pants. “Congratulations to all the @nycmarathon runners today! Here we are all individually practicing because, hey, you never know,” Ripa wrote in the caption of her post.
The remainder of the post included more shots of her kids. Ripa also shared two sweaty selfies in which she looked exhausted from training. Fans took to the comment section to share their support. Most of them were impressed with her commitment to running.
“This sends a much larger message to humankind!” one fan wrote. Another user commented, “Too bad you didn’t win the election race.” A third soap fan added, “Love you both, from way back to All My Children!”
