With Steve Burton taking a break from General Hospital until at least this summer, that means Jason is on his way out of Port Charles, once again abandoning Danny to his own devices. But a 16-year-old boy can’t be left alone. Especially one who so recently skipped school to make a mess in the family’s guest house. So who should be Danny’s guardian during Jason’s absence… and likely beyond, too?
Key Takeaway
- Will Danny live with Tracy?
- Will Alexis claim her grandson?
- Will Dante and Rocco be his family?
Lady of the Manor
Tracy (Jane Elliot) has never approved of Jason’s parenting. Then again, Tracy has never approved of anyone doing anything. Tracy wasn’t that great of a mother to her own children, and she is an on-and-off grandmother, as well.
But Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) isn’t Tracy’s grandson. He’s Monica’s (the late Leslie Charleson). And out of respect for her dearly departed sister-in-law, Tracy will step up, since Jason clearly isn’t up to the task.
To Grandmother’s House We Go
Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) never liked the idea of giving up on Sam’s (Kelly Monaco) kids, nor Scout (Cosette Abinante) to Drew (Cameron Mathison), nor Danny to Jason. Now that he’s hitting the road, Alexis is the logical person to swoop in and move Danny in with her.
On the other hand, Alexis recently kept Ric (Rick Hearst) tied up in her house, is covering up Kristina’s (Kate Masni) crimes, and knows that Willow (Katelynn MacMullen) was the one who shot Drew. Maybe she’s a bit distracted?
Modern Family
Before Sam died, she, Danny, and Scout were living with Dante (Dominic Zapronga) and Rocco (Finn Carr). Danny and Rocco considered themselves brothers, and Dante and Jason agreed they should continue to be raised that way.
Now that Jason is shirking his responsibility — yet again, it’s very on brand for him — Dante can be the dad Danny has always deserved. Without Jason pretending to pretend to care.
