The Jason And Jake Father-Son Bonding We Didn’t See On July 12 General Hospital

Since Jason’s return to General Hospital earlier this year, one of the most anticipated reunions was with his son Jake. The July 12, 2024 episode confirmed that the father and son finally did some bonding… we just didn’t get to see it.

Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) showed up at Jason’s (Steve Burton, who recently revealed what he’ll never do again on GH) door to share the good news that Jake (Hudson West) was accepted into an art school in Spain. Jason’s immediate response was to pay for his son’s tuition, and when Elizabeth agreed, Jason wondered if Jake would be okay with the offer.

“I got the impression that when you guys went to the game, things went well,” Elizabeth remarked. While viewers rejoiced over finding out that Jason and Jake had done some father-son bonding after Jason recently offered to take his eldest son to a baseball game, the issue with it is that it was done off-screen.

This unseen bonding moment comes after Jason recently invited his youngest son, Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), to help him fix his motorcycle. This father-son time was shown on-screen in its entirety, allowing viewers to witness their bond and Jason’s relationship with Danny.

The good news for Jake and Jason fans is that spoilers for next week tease the two on screen together when Jason makes his son an offer, presumably about paying for his tuition. “Don’t let my failings mess with your future,” he’ll tell Jake, according to the preview for Monday, July 15, 2024.
