On General Hospital, Robin has many godfathers — Sean, Frisco, and Buzz. In real life, her TV mom, Finola Hughes, who plays Anna, is paying tribute to hers, the late Bayly Collyns.
“My Godfather right here brought so much sweetness, laughter, and love into my childhood, I couldn’t wait for him to visit!” Hughes posted on Instagram. “My parents & brother adored him. His knowledge of the sea was extraordinary and his ability to mimic Cork Irishmen & aunties, brilliant.
“The fact that he was surrounded by love his entire life is testament to his absolutely golden heart,” the actress continued. “Rest easy, dear Bayly, you faced life with singular grace and resilience and brought joy to us all. My condolences to his beautiful wife Lucy, his children Luisa, Daniel, Robert & Joseph, and sister Sharon.”
According to Dignity Funerals in the United Kingdom, Collyns died on February 9 at the age of 78. Charitable donations can be made to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
Hughes received support messages from a few of her daytime pals. “I’m so sorry for your loss,” wrote Rebecca Budig (ex-Hayden; ex-Greenlee, All My Children).
