How General Hospital’s Steve Burton & Bradford Anderson Honored The Late Leslie Charleson

Just over a week since the passing of General Hospital alum Leslie Charleson, her co-stars Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson honored the late actress with their podcast.

A Storied Career

Daily Drama, hosted by Burton (Jason) and Anderson (Spinelli), typically posts new episodes every Wednesday. But since Charleson’s (Monica) death was announced on January 12, the podcast halted new episodes for a very special reason.

For the last two Wednesdays, Daily Drama has reaired its two-part interview with Charleson from 2019. After introducing the actress, Burton noted his gratitude for getting to work with both Charleson and Stuart Damon (Alan). “I couldn’t have asked for a better way to come into daytime than with Stuart and Leslie,” he said. “They became kind of like my parents, like, right away.”

The two episodes, titled “A Leslie Charleson Tribute” and “Leslie Charleson Looks Back at Her Storied Career,” respectively, run over an hour and a half long combined.

“Over 5 years ago now, we sat with Leslie for almost 2 hours and heard incredible stories of her starting in the business, Elvis, and of course many wonderful GH stories,” the caption of Part 1 read. “We learned a lot, and laughed–A LOT. We love you Leslie!”

The caption for Part 2 delved more into Charleson’s life. “Leslie shares some more amazing stories, including her incredible day with ELVIS, and crazy car rides with Kin Shriner. We also hear about her passion for animals, horses, dogs, and even tortoises!!! We love and miss our dear friend.”

While many in daytime have remembered Charleson since her passing, Burton has yet to make an official statement. He did, however, discuss his love for Charleson last year after returning to GH, noting he hoped to work with her again.
