The Los Angeles Police Department arrested four suspects in connection with the May 25 murder of General Hospital alum Johnny Wactor. Here’s what you need to know.
NBC Los Angeles reported the LAPD arrested Robert Barceleau, 18, of Huntington Park, Leonel Gutierrez, 18, and Sergio Estrada, 18, of Los Angeles County, as well as Frank Olano, 22, of South Los Angeles. These four may have been part of the Florencia 13 gang.
Wactor’s mother, Scarlett Wactor, said, “They can’t tell you anything. It’s frustrating but understandable. I feel that they would not have made the arrest, had they not felt like they had good evidence, strong evidence.”
Soap Hub previously reported that Wactor was shot and killed early on May 25 near Level 8, the bar where he worked as a bartender. The late actor reportedly stepped in between the gunman and his co-worker before they shot him. The suspects were stealing his catalytic converter.
At the time of his death, Wactor was 37 years old. His birthday, August 31, was approaching soon. “They robbed us of a wonderful person,” his mother said. “We miss him dearly.”
