Here’s General Hospital Star Maurice Benard’s Adorable Side Hustle

The General Hospital actor put his acting skills to good use, as depicted in a video of him and his granddaughter, TT. Benard serves up some delicious pretend ice cream, with TT being the ever-polite customer that she is!

Benard Goes Along With the Gag

Maurice Benard, when he’s not dodging bullets or dealing with improper bipolar medication as Sonny on GH, loves to post videos of himself having fun with his family. Recently, he shared one of the cutest videos ever on Instagram, with the caption, “Like Marlon Brando always said we’re always acting in life🎭 Just another day with TT eating ice cream cones in our own way.🍦.”

In the video, he stood behind a small wall that was at elbow height for his granddaughter, TT. Pretending to run an ice cream shop, he asked, “What would you like, ma’am?”

TT’s response was hard to hear because of the ambient breeze, but it sounded like she wanted a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Benard listened carefully, then responded, “Okay, can you pay me please? It’s five dollars. And do you want a snow cone with that?” Again, her reply was a little hard to hear, but it sounded like she said, “I want a rainforest ice cream.” Grandpa clarified it, asking, “Ice cream? Yes, be right up. I’m gonna make it for you.”

He pretended he was making ice cream, then tossed out a follow-up question, “Do you want a cone with that?” The young girl happily replied, “Yes.” Benard continued with the pretense, further asking, “Okay. Do you want a hot fudge sundae?”

“Yeah, and a spoon, please,” she stated. After working for a bit, then pretending to hand her a finished ice cream, he stated, “Yes. Here you go.” In her cutest little girl voice, TT said, “Thank you.” Benard, clearly moved, chuckled and responded, “You’re welcome!” (If you thought that was cute, check out when he introduced TT to her new baby brother!)

The fans were overwhelmed by how adorable and precious TT was, with Benard tossing out heart emojis left and right at the numerous responses. One fan summed things up with, “The more she grows up, the even more adorable she is. Enjoy your blessing ❤️.” Another follower played along, hilariously noting, “Such a cutie. And the ice cream didn’t even melt on her Beautiful Dress 😊.”

Another pointed out an important aspect of their video: “Making memories is the best while also teaching manners❤️.”
