General Hospital held its memorial for Monica last week, and we were lucky to see some storyline blasts from the past. This has left some newer viewers questioning, “Who are all of the Quartermaines?”
First Generation Qs
- Edward was the original Quartermaine patriarch and the founder of ELQ. He was ruthless in business and even sometimes with his family. The character died in 2012. Played by David Lewis and John Ingle.
- Lila was Edward’s beloved wife and the heart of the family. She was as kind as he was ruthless. Everyone loved Lila. Played by Anna Lee, who, like Lila, passed away in 2004.
Second Generation Qs
- Alan was Edward and Lila’s son who became a doctor rather than join the family business. Alan married Monica but had numerous affairs over the years. The character, who was once Chief of Staff at GH, died in 2007. Stuart Damon, who portrayed Alan, died in 2021.
- Monica was Alan’s wife and also a top doctor at GH. Like her husband, she had affairs throughout their marriage and also became Chief of Staff. The actor, Leslie Charleson, passed away in 2025.
- Tracy was the daughter of Lila and Edward, and Alan’s spoiled little sister. Her most famous storyline was refusing to give her father his medication while he was having a heart attack. Jane Elliot still portrays the now matriarch of the Qs, who was married numerous times.
- Bradley Ward (Aaron Seville) was Edward’s son from an affair with Mary Mae Ward.
- Jimmy Lee Holt (Steve Bond) was Edward’s son from an affair with Beatrice LeSeur.
Third Generation Qs
- A.J. was Alan and Monica’s firstborn son, although he was originally thought to be the result of Monica’s affair with Rick (Chris Robinson). A.J. lived a troubled life and was eventually killed when Sonny (Maurice Benard) shot him. He was played by both Sean Kanan and Billy Warlock.
- Jason, played by Steve Burton, was the biological son of Alan and Susan Moore, with whom he had an affair. Monica adopted him as a baby, and he became his parents’ golden child. He left the family after he lost his memory due to an accident caused by A.J., and he changed his last name to Morgan. Jason “died” many times, but eventually formed a close bond with Monica.
- Emily’s mom was a friend of Monica’s who died from breast cancer. Alan and Monica adopted her, and she became their true daughter and a light in their lives. Sadly, she was strangled to death by the text message killer right after she became engaged to Nikolas (then the late Tyler Christopher). Amber Tamblyn portrayed a young Emily, and Natalia Livingston later made the role her own.
- Drew is Jason’s twin, whose existence was only recently discovered. Monica welcomed the former Navy SEAL into the family with open arms, but he later became evil and is hated by all of the Qs. He was originally played by the late Billy Miller, now by Cameron Mathison.
- Skye found out that Alan was her father as an adult, but Tracy later proved that he wasn’t, although Alan always considered her part of the family. Robin Christopher played Skye on GH, All My Children, and One Life to Live.
- Ned is Tracy’s son, and his father is Lord Larry Ashton. He spent most of his younger life in boarding school and then went on to become a musician. He eventually took the reins of the family business and changed his last name to Quartermaine. He is played by Wally Kurth.
- Olivia is Ned’s wife. She is a friend of Lois (Rena Sofer), Ned’s ex, from Bensonhurt, and is played by Lisa LoCicero.
- Dillon is Tracy’s son with Paul Hornsby, who was primarily raised in Europe. He returned to Port Charles as a teen but has been offscreen for years. Scott Clifton and Robert Palmer Watkins both played the role.
- Austin-Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) was Jimmy Lee’s son who came to Port Charles and was later murdered.
- Justus Ward — son of Bradley and Isobel.
- Faith Ward — daughter of Bradley and Isobel.
Fourth Generation Qs
- Michael’s mom is Carly (Laura Wright). A.J. was his biological dad after a one-night stand. Jason raised him as a baby, and Sonny later adopted him. A.J. was basically cut out of his life before he died. Michael, played as an adult by Chad Duell and now Rory Gibson, is both a Quartermaine and a Corinthos.
- Brook Lynn is the daughter of Ned and Lois and is played by Amanda Setton. She grew up in Bensonhurst with her mom, but now resides in the Q mansion with her husband, Chase (Josh Swickard).
- Leo is Olivia’s son with the now-dead Julian (William deVry). Ned adopted him, and he is now a Q.
- Oscar (Garren Stitt) was Drew and Kim’s (Tamara Braun) son, who died of cancer on screen in 2019.
- Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) is Jason’s son with Sam (Kelly Monaco).
- Jake (Husdon West) is Jason’s son with Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst).
- Scout (Cosette Abinante) is Drew’s daughter with Sam.
Fifth Generation Qs
- Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) — son of Brook Lynn and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna)
- Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) — son of Michael and Nelle (Chloe Lanier). Adopted by Willow (Katelyn MacMullen).
- Amelia Corinthos — daughter of Michael and Willow.
- Daisy Gilmore — daughter of Michael and Sasha (Sofia Mattsson).
There are definitely other Qs out there, and we never know when one may pop up in Port Charles. Do you remember any other family members? Let us know in the comments.
