It looks like the mob boss of General Hospital is leaving the business. Sonny has a heart condition, and a life of crime is just not good for him. What will he do now?
Coffee Mogul
Corinthos Coffee is already the most popular coffee in Port Charles, but what if Sonny (Maurice Benard) put all his efforts into that part of his business? If he no longer has mob activities to attend to, he will have time to grow the coffee business. He can open a real coffee shop to become the new Port Charles daytime hangout. It would be a great place for both the high school and the PCU crowd.
Assuming it will do well, Sonny can open shops in Llanview and Pine Valley. After that, the possibilities are endless; NYC, LA, Chicago, and the list goes on. Donna (Scarlett Spears) and Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola) can take over the business when they get older.
Deputy Mayor
Jordan (Tanisha Harper) is working undercover for Sidwell (Carlo Rota), so she had to leave her position at the mayor’s office. Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis) now needs a new Deputy Mayor. When Sonny leaves the mob behind, he can fill that role. It may sound crazy, but stranger things have happened in Port Charles.
He and Laura are close and would work well together. Sonny knows the city of Port Charles inside and out, so he could be a big help to the mayor. He knows where the crime is and how it works. He may be the perfect person to help clean up the town.
Tee Time
Sonny has worked hard all his life. He didn’t exactly have a traditional job, and he won’t be getting a gold watch and a pension, but maybe it’s time to retire. Beating people up and hanging them from meat hooks is hard work, and he must be exhausted. The stress of his life even led to his heart condition. It may be time to hang up his gun, take up golf, and retire. He can spend time with his young daughters and his grandchildren. Maybe even find a nice new woman to settle down with.
