Haley Pullos has learned her fate related to the criminal penalties she was facing after being charged with DUI last year. The former General Hospital actress, who played Molly, is going to jail. Like GH characters who go in and out of Pentonville, the actress’s incarceration isn’t going to be that long.
Three Month Sentence
The Daily Mail reports that Pullos is going to jail for three months. The sentence pled no contest in the DUI crash from a year ago. Additionally, she’s going to have to serve five years of probation and also perform 200 hours of community service. Pullos was ordered to pay more than $8000 in restitution to the injured driver, Courtney Wilder, whom she hit with her car.
Prosecutors said that Pullos had a blood alcohol of 0.25, which is more than three times the legal limit on the night of the crash. The actress initially pleaded not guilty to two DUI charges and a count of hit-and-run. However, she changed her pea to no contest on a lone DUI charge after striking a deal with LA’s District Attorney. In exchange, the D.A.’s office dropped the other charges.
After Pullos completes the three months in jail, she’ll return to court for a sentencing hearing on July 29. That’s when she’ll officially be placed on probation for five years; in addition to performing community service, Pullos will have her driver’s license suspended for a year.
She will also enter a drug and alcohol rehab program for an indeterminate period of time. Pullos is also facing a civil case. Wilder is taking the actress to court, seeking damages for negligence.
After the incident, Pullos was not only dealing with criminal charges, but she also lost her role as Molly, which she’d been playing since 2009. The show recast her role a few times before hiring Kristen Vaganos to play the part. Currently, Molly is in a storyline with her domestic partner TJ (Tajh Bellow), and her sister, Kristina (Kate Mansi), who is acting as a surrogate so that Molly and TJ can have a baby.
