Haley Pullos, formerly Molly on General Hospital, has been released from jail. The actress served three months for after pleading no contest in April to driving the wrong way on a Los Angeles freeway while she was drunk and high. While she’s no longer incarcerated, she still has some legal requirements to fulfill related to her case.
According to the Daily Mail, Pullos was released from jail after serving a three-month sentence for her role in the incident. (Read out that here.) She was greeted by her family and also former TV mom Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis), who has supported Pullos throughout her arrest and being jailed.
“Thank you so much for coming,” Pullos said to Grahn. While Pullos is out of prison, she remains on probation for five years. She also must complete 200 hours of community service.
In April, Pullos pleaded no contest to driving the wrong way on a Los Angeles freeway while she was drunk and high; her actions caused a near-fatal accident. She’s lost her driver’s license, and she is required to complete a nine-month alcohol education program. She must also undergo a mental health treatment.
Additionally, Pullos has to pay more than $8000 in restitution to the other driver who was injured in the crash. The judge in her case gave the actress a strict warning about the future. “God forbid you cause an accident in the future, and somebody dies, you will be charged with murder,” the judge sternly said.
After the crash/accident, Pullos left her role as Molly on GH. The role is currently being played by Kristen Vaganos. Molly is currently at war with her sister Kristina (Kate Mansi) over custody of the baby whom Kristina agreed to act as surrogate.
The judge granted Pullos permission to leave the country later this year to take a trip with her parents. About an hour after her short hearing on Monday, Pullos exited the courthouse in Pasadena, Calif. through a side gate. “I’m very happy to be going home,” she told the DailyMail.
