GH Fan Favorite Scarlett Fernandez Gives Thanks To Her Surgical Team

On General Hospital, her alter-ego, Charlotte, is recovering from emergency surgery after getting a bullet to her abdomen. Meanwhile, actress Scarlett Fernandez is recovering from an operation of her own — though this one isn’t the fault of a terrified stalking victim with a gun.

Scarlett Fernandez Issues Message From Her Sickbed

Fernandez posted two photographs of herself on Instagram, one a close-up of her heavily bandaged right foot. In the caption she wrote, “Tyler the tumor has been evicted! Thanks to my amazing surgeon, Dr. Bell and all the wonderful nurses at [St. Luke’s Health].”

GH viewers, admirers of the actress’s work, and other well-wishers flocked to the post to leave messages of sympathy and hopes for a speedy recovery.

Mandy Bonarrigo wrote, “Prayers that you heal quickly! Your recent work on GH has been amazing and got me watching again to see what was going on with Charlotte! And you’re as beautiful as ever! God bless,” and gradmafleming penned, “On screen and off, you make hospital beds look good.” Meanwhile, zmickeyz hazarded a guess that, no, make that, accused, “Anna did it.”

Of course, that viewer was referencing Fernandez’s recent onscreen travail, which saw Charlotte Cassadine seriously wounded when Ana Devane (Finola Hughes) fired at her while the young woman prowled about in the former top cop’s place.

Not only did the shooting bring to light the fact that Charlotte was one of Anna’s two tormentors (the other may or may not remain at large; click here to read about a possible end to Anna’s stalking plight), but her motive as well. And all roads led back to master manipulator (and Charlotte’s paternal grandfather) Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), who continues to wreak havoc from the grave.
