General Hospital Star Tanisha Harper Is Celebrating Her Birthday

On General Hospital, Jordan Ashford has had quite a time lately, what with helping hold down the Port Charles fort with its mayor off searching for her son. It’s a big day for, Jordan’s portrayer, Tanisha Harper because she is celebrating her birthday!

Harper was born on September 18, 1985, in Tokyo, Japan, which means this talented star is turning 38 today. Earlier this year, the actress/model appeared on the cover of So Scottsdale! magazine. “Representing my hometown with pride!” Harper posted on Instagram. At the age of 14, Harper was discovered by a modeling agent when she was watching a fashion show being held at the Scottsdale Fashion Square mall.

Later, the actress/model earned a bachelor’s degree in Media Arts and Marketing from the University of Arizona and she’s made her mark both in front of and behind the camera. The multi-hyphenate has worked as host, writer, and co-producer of award-winning fashion, news, and entertainment content for clients including AOL and Verizon. Harper has also worked as a freelance journalist.

As a model, Harper has appeared in campaigns for Jimmy Choo, Ralph Lauren, Oscar de la Renta, Mac Cosmetics, and L’Oréal Paris. She’s also appeared in numerous TV commercials for Lexus, Sketchers, and Apple. Her film and TV credits include Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Something New, Dear White People, Hacks, and Dollface.

Harper took on the role of Jordan Ashford, making her GH debut on March 2, 2022, but the ABC soap opera isn’t her first daytime gig. In 2005, she appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful as a model for Spectra Fashions. Five years later, she popped up again on B&B — this time as a model for Jackie M.
