Things are looking up for Trina on General Hospital — what with being in love and enjoying Paris. Things are also looking wonderful for her portrayer, the talented Tabyana Ali.
That’s because she was born on January 28, 2002, which means that this lovely lady, is turning 22 years old today! Ali began her career with bit parts in the films Somebody Up There Likes Me (as ‘Girl at the Birthday Party’) and Line of Duty (as ‘Young Girl At Graduation’) and the comedy series New Girl (as ‘Jo’) under the name Tabyana Ford.
Ali’s subsequent live-action credits include guest spots on A Kid Called Mayonnaise (as ‘Malone’), Stuck Together (as ‘Alana Kirby’), and The Big Show (as ‘Becca’), the short film Confined 6: #BYE-BYE (as ‘Maya’), and a part in the horror anthology Horror Noire (as ‘Regina’).
In addition, Ali has lent her voice to the animated program Shimmer and Shine and she is a published author with the title, My Flower Child, a book, “for mothers and daughters everywhere of all ages…about the bond between a mother and her daughter and the experiences shared together.”
Since March 25, 2022, Ali — who’s also no stranger to the standup comedy circuit — has played General Hospital’s Trina Robinson, no small feat for the performer who’d narrowly missed out on the chance to bring the character to life three years earlier.
Soap Hub would like to wish Tabyana Ali a very happy birthday and you can too by clicking on the X (formerly Twitter) link below. Also, share your favorite memory of her work or if you’ve met her personally in the comments section.
