It’s been a while since Marcus Coloma portrayed Nikolas Cassadine on General Hospital. Today, the actor has a big event to celebrate.
And that’s because he was born on October 18, 1978, in Middletown, California, which means that this fan-favorite is turning 45 years old today! Coloma launched his acting career in 1999 with a starring role in the MTV telenovela Undressed.
Subsequently, Coloma guest-starred in episodes of Go Fish, So Little Time, Strong Medicine, JAG, and Threat Matrix, and he had recurring roles on both All About Us and Point Pleasant.
In 2006, Coloma appeared on One Tree Hill and CSI: Miami. He also joined the inaugural cast of the primetime serial South Beach and made his film debut in the Hillary Duff vehicle, Material Girls.
Coloma’s other acting credits include recurring roles in Lincoln Heights, Make It Or Break It, Psycho Girlfriend, The Online Gamer, and Major Crimes, and guest spots on CSI, Emily Owens, M.D., Drop Dead Diva, and Lucifer.
Coloma started as Nikolas Cassadine on General Hospital on October 31, 2019. He was the fifth actor — after Tyler Christopher (who originated the part), Stephen Martines, Chris Beetem, and Nick Stabile — to do so. Recently, Adam Huss portrays the prince.
Coloma has recorded dialogue for two video games: 2007’s Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and 2008’s Command & Conquer 3: Kane’s Wish. In addition to his acting and voiceover work, Coloma is a singer/songwriter and musician. His instrument of choice is the piano, and he has (so far) released one CD of music — On the Bright Side.
