General Hospital‘s Dex Heller has a whole new job in Port Charles these days, and it’s quite the adjustment. Luckily things are looking great for performer Evan Hofer.
And that’s because he was born on May 8, 1997, which means that this talented daytime neophyte is turning 27 years old today!
A native of Leavenworth, Kansas, Hofer found himself bitten by the performing bug while joining in on his older sister’s showbiz endeavors. While she ultimately pursued a career in music, Hofer continued his pursuit of acting.
His professional debut came in the TV movie Everday Kid, which was directed by Fred Savage of The Wonder Years fame. Hofer’s subsequent credits include guest appearances on Modern Family, The Haunted Hathaways, Swedish Dicks, and Sweet/Vicious, recurring roles on the Disney Channel series Kickin’ It and BYUtv’s Dwight in Shining Armor, and a starring part in the Tim Tebow executive-produced film Run the Race.
Since May 5, 2022, Hofer has played army vet Dex Heller on General Hospital, a character he nabbed after sending in a self-taped audition. Originally scheduled to appear no longer than three months, Hofer soon found his contract extended and his status upped to contract player.
Soap Hub would like to wish Evan Hofer a very happy birthday, and you can, too, by clicking on the X (formerly Twitter) link below.
