General Hospital’s Michael has had things coming up roses lately, what with a new daughter and Willow’s health being back on track. And actor Chad Duell is also winning, thanks to the very special milestone he’s reached.
And that’s because he was born on September 14, 1987, in Chicago, Illinois, which means that this fan favorite is turning 36 years old today! Duell attended Desert Mountain High School in Scottsdale, Arizona, where a theater class ignited his passion for performing. He decided that he needed to leave for California in order to pursue an acting career.
After relocating to Los Angeles, Duell landed two (minor) recurring roles on Disney Channel-produced sitcoms: Ronald Longcape Jr. (Wizards of Waverly Place) and Holden (The Suite Life on Deck).
In 2010, Duell succeeded Drew Garrett in the role of General Hospital’s Michael. For his efforts, Chad Duell has earned six Daytime Emmy Award nominations and scored one win — 2015’s Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series after Michael learned his adoptive father murdered his biological father in cold blood.
Duell’s other acting credits consist of a regular role on the third season of the online serial The Bay, guest appearances on Arrow and The Agency, and a cameo part in the made-for-TV thriller Lethal Admirer.
In his personal life, Duell pursues a strict fitness regime, and he practices martial arts daily. He also became a new father to son Dawson with girlfriend Luana Lucci.
Soap Hub would like to wish Chad Duell a very happy birthday, and you can, too, by clicking on the X (formerly Twitter) link below.
