It seems that Brook Lynn has a whole new perspective on General Hospital. As for her portrayer, Amanda Setton, things are going swimmingly, and she’s celebrating something big.
And that’s because she was born on December 16, 1985, in New York City, New York, which means that this talented actress turns 38 years old today! After graduating from high school — and serving as president of the institute’s theater club — Setton enrolled at Ithaca College and majored in drama.
The year 2008 was a banner one for the budding actress. Not only did she nab extra work in two feature films — the Ashton Kutcher/Cameron Diaz comedy film What Happens in Vegas and All the World’s a Stage — but she also appeared in an episode of HBO’s Sex and the City, and won a starring role in the CW serial Gossip Girl.
A year later, Setton made her daytime TV debut in the role of Kimberly Andrews on One Life to Live. Since 2019 (barring a brief respite during her third pregnancy), Setton has played Brook Lynn Quartermaine on sister ABC soap opera General Hospital.
The actress is also well known for her work on the CBS sitcom The Crazy Ones — a vehicle created especially for the late, great comedian Robin Williams, as well as Sarah Michelle Gellar, famous for her run as Buffy, the Vampire Slayer and as the original Kendall Hart on All My Children, Erica Kane’s (Susan Lucci) daughter.
Setton’s other acting credits include guest appearances on Mercy, Blue Bloods, Golden Boy, and Beauty and the Beast. Additionally, she has had recurring roles on The Mindy Project and Hawaii Five-O.
Soap Hub would like to wish Amanda Setton a very happy birthday and many more. Also, in the comments section, share your favorite memory of her work or if you’ve met her personally.
